Mr. Andrew Arcuri
President Mr. Arcuri is presently serving his 3rd term as a Board member through June 30, 2013. Mr. Arcuri was elected by the Board to serve as Vice-President in 2006 and as President for the 2007-08 school year. He is married with four children including two daughters in college and two sons who attend Bay Shore Schools. Himself a 1977 graduate of Bay Shore High School, he thereafter graduated from Stony Brook University and then Pace University School of Law. Mr. Arcuri is a partner in the general practice Deer Park law firm of Kelly, Luglio & Arcuri, LLP. He has volunteered his time as a soccer, baseball, and CYO basketball coach. His hobbies include distance running, where he has successfully completed over 30 marathons while raising nearly $100,000.00 for pediatric cancer research and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. |

Mr. Guy Leggio
Vice President Mr. Leggio is serving his second term as a Board member through June 30, 2014 and his first term as Vice President. Guy is a third generation Leggio residing in Bay Shore and a 1981 graduate of Bay Shore High School. Mr. Leggio has worked in professional masonry for the past 27 years and is a member of the Local One Bricklayers Union. He is a United States Navy veteran who was a member of the multi-national peacekeeping force in Beirut, Lebanon (1983-84). Guy is member of the Bay Shore Fire Department for 26 years who served as Captain and trustee, an American Legion member for 10 years and a member of the Bay Shore Athletic Sponsors. His awards include the 1986 Lifetime PTA Jenkins Award and the 2011 SCOPE award for his service to the Bay Shore Community. He is the founder of East Islip Kid Wrestling, coaches East Islip Varsity Wrestling and has received numerous awards for his leadership and participation in wrestling over the last 22 years. Guy has been married to his wife, Maryann for 20 years and has three children in the district. |

Mr, Louis Bettinelli
Trustee Mr. Bettinelli is currently serving his first term as a Board member through June 30, 2014. A lifelong resident of Bay Shore and a 1973 graduate from Bay Shore High School, Mr. Bettinelli graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation, a United States Coast Guard license as Third Officer, and a commission as an Officer in the United States Naval Reserve. Presently, Mr. Bettinelli pilots ships in New York Harbor, Delaware Bay and River, and St. Croix, USVI. Lou has served as President of Interport Pilots Agency, Inc. since 1990. He is responsible for management, customer relations, legal and legislative initiatives. Lou is a member of the Maritime Association of the Port of New York/New Jersey, having served on their Board of Directors for nine years. He is also a Member of the Steering Committee for the Harbor Operations (safety) Committee of the Port of New York/New Jersey, the Philadelphia Mariners Advisory Committee and the Connecticut Maritime Coalition. Lou is married to Donna (Gaine) Bettinelli for over 31 years, Donna is also a lifelong resident and graduate of Bay Shore High School and is presently Director of Science for Bay Shore Schools. Lou and Donna have two adult children that graduated from Bay Shore Schools. Bill went on to graduate from Tufts and Lauren graduated from Harvard. |

Mrs. Mary Louise Cohen
Trustee Mrs. Cohen is serving her 4th term which runs from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012. She has served two terms as President of the Board, and also served twice as Vice President. She is serving her second term as President of Reform Educational Financing Inequities Today (REFIT), a Long Island-wide consortium of over 30 school districts with high taxes and low wealth. She is married to Dr. Brad Cohen, a surgeon, with two sons in Bay Shore Schools. She graduated from the University of Kentucky and moved to Washington DC where she worked on Capitol Hill. She subsequently moved to New York City and worked for British Airways for 12 years, leaving as Manager of Retail Shops in the USA & Canada to stay home after the birth of her second son. Mrs. Cohen returned to work when her younger son entered Kindergarten, working as Director of Public Relations for St. George's University for 4 years. Mrs. Cohen is a very active community member serving on Summit Council (13 years), launching Beautification, a member of the Long Island Education Coalition, and now as Chair of the Code Enforcement Committee. She also served for 4 years on the Public Relations Committee and is currently serving on the Bay Shore Wellness Alliance and a member of the Chamber of Commerce for over 12 years. She has been an active member of the PFAs where her children attended school (Brook Ave, South Country, Middle School) and now a member of the High School PTA. She is the former President of the Parents Council at Sinai Reform Temple (2 terms) and currently serves as secretary (5th year) on the O’Co’Nee Association Board of Directors (previously served as president for 6 years). She has served on her neighborhood board for over 14 years. She received the SCOPE School Board Award of Excellence in 2006 for her commitment to Bay Shore. In January 2009 Mary Louise was awarded the The New York State School Board Award for Master of Boardmanship. This award recognizes the time, effort, and commitment of Board members who strive continually to expand their knowledge of education and skill in school governance. In her free time she runs, bikes and swims, having completed 4 marathons, the Montauk Century bike ride, the Cross Bay Swim and many triathalons and road races. Currently she is serving on the organizing committee for Relay for Life in Bay Shore for a third year. |

Mr. Gregory Nardone
Trustee Mr. Gregory Nardone is currently in his 4thd term that runs from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012, holding the position of Board President for two terms in nine years. He and his wife Chris have two daughters and two sons, all graduates of Bay Shore Schools. Mr.Nardone, himself a 1976 graduate of Bay Shore High School, holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Suffolk Community College. He works for National Grid as a Manager of Customer Meter Services. Greg Nardone is very involved in the Bay Shore community, as a 32- year veteran of the Bay Shore Fire Department Hook and Ladder Company, a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus’ Bishop McGann Council, and an active parishioner participating in several ministries of St. Patrick’s Church. Mr. Nardone is a member of the Bay Shore High School Alumni Association and the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Bay Shore. His activism also extends to the Bay Shore-Brightwaters Summit Council serving as that organization’s Board of Education representative. He is an Executive Board member of the Nassau Suffolk School Boards Association and Treasurer of the Islip Town School Boards Association. |
