The New York State Board of Regents and New York State Education Department have developed NY INSPIRES: A Plan to Transform Education in New York State. This plan introduces new graduation measures designed to ensure educational excellence and allow students to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed both in school and after they graduate. These proposed changes will impact future graduation requirements through a phased approach, beginning with students currently enrolled in high school.
