Overview

The mission of the Bay Shore School District Health & Physical Education Department is to empower students with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and motivation to lead healthy, active lifestyles. Through a comprehensive K–12 Health & Physical Education curriculum, students are challenged to learn, collaborate, persevere, make informed decisions, and demonstrate responsible personal and social behavior while developing lifelong habits that promote health, wellness, and physical activity.

Our program aligns with the New York State Physical Education and Health Education Learning Standards and provides students with meaningful experiences that foster physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth while preparing them to make healthy choices throughout their lives.
